Stuff the Bus
Annual School Supply Drive
July 15 - 31, 2024

Help us "Stuff the Bus" by donating needed school supplies to be used by students at all five school districts in Franklin County.

DONATE DOLLARS

Monetary contributions to Stuff the Bus will be used by United Way to purchase school supplies that help fill gaps in supplies donated by community. Donate online or mail a check made out to United Way of Franklin County, 182 S. 2nd St., Chambersburg, PA 17201, with "Stuff the Bus" in the memo line.

DROP OFF SUPPLIES

School supply donations may be delivered through July 31 to United Way's office from 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, or to any of the locations on the collection site map. Please check the business's or organization's operating hours before planning your visit.

ONLINE REGISTRY

Use our Target Registry and ship directly to United Way's address (saved in the registry).

 

To designate your donation to a specific school district, write the name of the district in the “Gift Message” while checking out.

Visit United Way's "Stuff the Bus" school bus at one of these upcoming community events. Bring school supply donations or donate dollars at the events.

COLLECT AS A TEAM

Organize a school supply donation drive at work, within your church, through a sports team, or any other kind of community group! Collect donations all month long, then bring the donations to United Way's office on August 1st or 2nd. Simply sign up using this form.

This is also for businesses who wish to sign up as a Collection Site for the public to drop off donations to your location(s).

BECOME A SPONSOR:

Sponsors enable us to cover printing and advertising costs to extend our promotional efforts and help support administrative time put into implementing this MASSIVE county-wide drive. To partner with us, please complete the Sponsorship Form by June 21.

 

DONATION DROP-OFF DAYS:

Participating businesses / organizations should PLEASE PLAN AHEAD and coordinate someone from your group to deliver donations to United Way's office (182 S. 2nd St., Chambersburg) on Thursday, August 1 or Friday, August 2 between 9am-4:30pm.

 

Please contact United Way if delivering on the above dates is impossible for your group: 717-262-0015.

For Families in Need of Supplies

 

United Way's Stuff the Bus event provides donations directly to school districts. Each district determines how to distribute donations to their students. If you are in need of supplies, contact your school's office to inquire about options and check out the list of local resources below. Please note: United Way does not distribute supplies directly to individuals.
