We are calling to action volunteers to improve quality of life in our community. Spend a day volunteering with us to complete much-needed service projects at local organizations. Day of Caring is an excellent way to connect co-workers, students, neighbors, and friends to civic engagement in our community.

NOTICE: This year for Day of Caring, as our community and nation continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are coordinating only outdoor projects. Please plan accordingly.

Agency Projects

If your agency is interested in hosting a project (or multiple projects) for Day of Caring, please make sure projects meet the following requirements:

  • The project must be conducted outdoors

  • The project should take about half a day to complete

  • The project should take place on Friday, November 5 (also accepting limited projects for Campaign Kick-off on Friday, September 24; other dates are subject to approval by UWFC)

    • Plan on a rain date of Friday, November 12

  • Any project supplies or equipment needed for the project that the agency will NOT be providing should be indicated in the registration form

  • Establish one Project Coordinator that will be on site for Day of Caring - this person will be the contact working with the volunteer team leader to make necessary arrangements for completing the project

  • If your agency is submitting multiple projects, please register multiple times - one registration form per project.

  • Projects must register by September 30.

Submit your project proposal using the Agency Registration Form.

Volunteer Teams

If you are interested in coordinating a volunteer team for Day of Caring, please make sure your group can meet the following requirements:

  • Projects will be conducted outdoors, so plan accordingly and dress for the weather

  • Plan on volunteering for at least half of the day (when you register you can indicate preference for morning or afternoon)

  • Projects will take place on Friday, November 5 (also accepting limited volunteer teams for Campaign Kick-off on Friday, September 24)

    • Plan on a rain date of Friday, November 12

  • Establish one Volunteer Team Leader to be the contact with the agency (once UWFC connects you) and be responsible for sharing project information with members of their team

  • Teams must register by September 30.

Sign up your group using the Volunteer Team Registration Form.

Individuals can also sign up to volunteer and will be assigned a project with other individual volunteers. Sign up using the Individual Volunteer Registration Form.
