About the Workshop:
Learn how to get the right start when forming a charitable organization and the must-knows before you start raising funds.
This workshop is designed for people and groups that are considering the start-up of a nonprofit organization, or that are trying to set an organization on the right path as a nonprofit entity.
You’ll hear from local professionals with experience in and supporting the nonprofit industry, while also networking with others who are on the same path as you.
Meet the Speakers:
John McCrae - Founder, Little Daisy’s Closet John will share the story of how and why he started a nonprofit project in Chambersburg that is now serving people in need throughout our community.
Amy Hicks - Executive Director, United Way of Franklin County Amy will talk about the importance of investigating your community and seeking collaboration both before and after launching your nonprofit.
Elliott Sulcove - Attorney, Black & Davison, P.C. Elliott will walk through the steps it takes to correctly start a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit (Charity) Organization, and the importance of ensuring these steps are in place to protect you and the people supporting your work.
